  • Senior Faculty - Biomedical and Behavioral Health Research
    University of Alaska - Fairbanks

    Applications are invited for a senior faculty position to strengthen biomedical and behavioral health research at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. UAF seeks a candidate that has an active research program and a history of successful competitive funding in one or more of the UAF research focus areas of neuroscience, Alaska Native health, toxicology, infectious disease, prevention of chronic disease and psychosocial disorders, and adaptations to high latitudes.

  • Director - Specialized Neuroscience Research Program (SNRP)
    School of Medicine, Universidad Central del Caribe (UCC)

    Candidates are expected to contribute to the institutional strength of neuroscience research and submit applications for extramural funds in neuroscience research within their first year at the institution. Responsibilities included but are not limited to: 1) Development, preparation, and submission of the SNRP3 proposal. 2) Coordinate and promote the development of potential new research projects. 3) Supervise and train SNRP researchers in grantmanship, scientific presentations and research program development. 4) Manage the review of SNRP researchers' proposals before submission to funding agencies.

Neuroscience Research Training

  • NINDS Summer Program in the Neurological Sciences
    The Summer Program in the Neurological Sciences offers a unique opportunity for academically talented high school, undergraduate, graduate, and medical students to receive first-rate training in neuroscience research. Students get hands-on experience working with leading scientists in the Institute's Division of Intramural Research, the "in-house" research component of the NINDS. The NINDS purpose in awarding student internships is to provide students with a highly stimulating and rewarding summer research experience, with a view towards encouraging students to pursue advanced education and training in the biomedical sciences and future careers in scientific investigation, particularly basic and clinical research in the neurological sciences.
