Orientation and Management of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC)

The SNRP Director provides orientation and supervision to the SAC regarding their stewardship of the research projects supported in the SNRP Award. It is envisioned that the SAC would be comprised of neuroscientists with specific expertise in the subject matter of the approved SNRP research projects. Principal investigators and collaborating neuroscientists should be committed to working in a cohesive and synergistic manner to accomplish the stated goals of the research, as well as provide advice and guidance to the SNRP Director on ways to achieve the program performance measures referenced in the Notice of Grant Award. These recommendations should be detailed in the monthly minutes and communicated to the NINDS and PAC via the SNRP Director.
